Financial Times lists Nicosia to be one of Europe's future cities
In the list of the first 10 small European cities of the future, the Financial Times ranks Nicosia, which stands out, according to the fDi Intelligence survey, in the areas of human capital, as well as in attracting foreign direct investment.
As the Nicosia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EBEL) states in its announcement, regarding the distinctions in the Financial Times research list, Nicosia is for the fifth consecutive time at the top of the list of cities distinguished for human capital.
"This distinction is a reward but at the same time recognition of the efforts of Nicosia, which has begun to transform into a modern city that hosts the majority of Cyprus' higher education institutions, hospitals and clinics with modern specifications, centers and institutes that promote research and innovation, as well as local and foreign businesses that contribute to the multiculturalism of Nicosia's businesses", notes EBEL.
He mentions as a special success the fact that for the first time Nicosia manages to stand out in the category of Foreign Direct Investment strategy (FDI strategy), occupying the 8th place among small European cities, "a fact that certifies the dynamics of the capital in attracting foreign investments ", as reported by the Chamber.
"EBE Nicosia, which had a major role in the actions to promote the capital to the institution of fDi Intelligence, expresses its satisfaction with the recognition achieved by Nicosia, at the same time declaring its readiness to continue its efforts in this direction", ends up.
