The prices of construction materials are reduced
Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, the index recorded a decrease of 1.32%.
The prices of building materials are reduced, as can be seen from data announced by the Statistical Service.
The Construction Materials Price Index for the month of May 2024 reached 117.35 units (based on 2021=100), marking a marginal increase of 0.11% compared to the previous month.
Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, the index recorded a decrease of 1.32%.
By main product category, decreases were recorded in metal products (-6.68%) while increases were noted in electromechanical items (3.24%), minerals (1.01%), mineral products (0.49%) and wood products, insulators, chemicals and plastics (0.30%).
For the period January-May 2024, the index recorded a decrease of 1.81% compared to the corresponding period of 2023.
